District Cooling Plant - Muscat, Oman

Principal Architect | Project Manager

The District Cooling Plant building is pivotal in providing cooling services to significant buildings and amenities in Muscat. Its architectural design, influenced by specialist MEP principles, has been meticulously crafted to embody a modern aesthetic in harmony with the master plan guidelines. The choice of colours, shapes, and patterns is rooted in the original master plan concept while adhering to technical requirements. A voluntary initiative sought to imbue the building with a simple yet contemporary architectural style to enhance its significance. This approach received favourable feedback from the client and successfully reshaped their conventional view of service facilities. These improvements were accomplished within the client's budget constraints, underscoring efficient cost management.
