Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant
Muscat, Oman
Principal Architect | Project Manager
A twenty-five-year-old restaurant, owned by the Muscat Municipality and operated by a renowned restaurant chain, faced a design challenge: how to enhance its external appearance without making significant changes to the existing building structure. The solution involved simple modifications, including the addition of frames and canopies, as well as the introduction of a new lift facility to connect both floors with disabled access. The design successfully achieved the goal of providing an attractive and modern appearance to this prominent hilltop location. The restaurant is highly visible from the main Sultan Qaboos highway, and as a result of these changes, the business has significantly increased across a wide range of patrons.
