Shamika Vithanage, a creative architect, boasts an illustrious career spanning 20 years, during which he has overseen the successful delivery of hundreds of projects. His hands-on experience across all stages of the RIBA framework, from the initial concept to the final touches of construction, showcases his unwavering commitment to quality and excellence.
Shamika possesses an M.Sc Degree in Architecture, with a focus on specialized design training, as well as an M.Sc in Project Management, specializing in construction. Throughout his academic journey, he demonstrated exceptional prowess, achieving top honours. His achievements include prestigious accolades such as the Best Design Award with Highly Commendation, the Prof KRS Peris Award, and the Gold Medal for the Best Designer of the Year. He further distinguished himself as the top performer in the Comprehensive Design Projects.
Shamika's career began as a junior architect in 2004 with the prestigious architectural firm Suchith Mohotti Associates. He gained experience in high-level design methods, detailing, and presentations during this period. After completing his Master's, he joined the renowned international consultant COWI & Partners Oman, where his success led to his promotion to Senior Architect and Project Manager with a vast range of experience in large-scale projects to master plan developments.
Later in his career, Shamika received an invitation to lead the design and project management division at Alamur Engineering in Oman. His diverse project portfolio includes residential developments, sports facilities, shopping malls, commercial developments, and more. His unique financial skills consistently yield profitable results.
Shamika's responsibilities encompass the full range of architectural work, from concept designs and presentations to documentation, coordination, and construction supervision. He excels in client relationships, resource, time, and cost management and is known for his effective teamwork and communication skills.
